What
does the name "vitamin" mean? The
known vitamin so far are 13, even if some include a greater number
(up to 17). the water soluble vitamins, in fact, are not stored by our organism, it is therefore necessary to introduce a certain quantity of these daily. the fat soluble vitamins, on the other hand, can be stored in the liver, and if taken in excessive quantity can cause serious harm to our health (ipervitaminosis). This is why we shouldn't eat vitamins as if they were sweets! |
